  1. COMPTEST is a program that determines the
  2. system configuration and performance 
  3. characteristics of PC compatible computers.
  4. COMPTEST was designed to be fast, so most 
  5. parameters are determined during program 
  6. start-up and the first page of results will 
  7. come up almost immediately. Even for slow 
  8. systems like the original IBM PC the first 
  9. page will be displayed within a few seconds.
  10. There are at most three pages with results 
  11. displayed sequentially, with some tests 
  12. occurring only when the appropriate page is 
  13. displayed.
